Index to VPRS 815/P0 Court of Insolvency Records, Geelong [1855-57 portion only]

This index gives partial access to Geelong Court of Insolvency records on the basis of an insolvent’s name or the year of the insolvency case.

Search this index to identify records of insolvency cases heard by the Geelong Court of Insolvency between 1855 and 1857.

Enter the insolvent’s company, family or given name(s) in the 'Parties' box, or the year of the hearing, and/or the number of the case (if known) into the other boxes and click Search. The results screen displays details on each person found, including the insolvency case number.

To order an insolvency record, take note of the insolvency case number in the third column and consult the Consignment Details for VPRS 815 in the PROV online catalogue to identify the unit you need to order. Select the unit containing the range within which falls the insolvency case number you require. Once ordered the records can be viewed at the Victorian Archives Centre Reading Room.
