Search this database to identify records of teachers examined by the Board of Teachers prior to initial appointment and for promotion to a higher classification between 1863 and 1872.

Enter the given name, family name or school (number or name) of the teacher you are searching for into the boxes below and click Search. The results screen displays details on each person found, including examination report number(s).

To order an examination report, take note of the exam report number(s) in the fourth column and consult the Consignment Details for VPRS 907 in PROV online catalogue to identify the unit you need to order. Select the unit containing the range within which falls the examination report number you require. Once ordered the examination reports can be viewed at the Victorian Archives Centre Reading Room.
